Anxious But Not Alone
Here is real-time data from an Ohio school that reveals the depth of teen anxiety—and the hope that comes when students start talking.
Today, at a middle school and high school in Ohio, 753 students opened up about what’s happening inside during a Get Schooled Tour Event. The average age was just under 14, and the results tell a powerful story about the state of student mental health—and why RemedyLIVE’s work matters more than ever.
When asked about their secret struggles, students most often mentioned loneliness, friendship, and family conflict. Close behind were anxiety, school pressure, low self-worth, and depression. Nearly every category reflected the same need: connection.
The numbers were sobering:
82% said they had felt anxious in the past 30 days.
38% said they’d been depressed.
17% admitted to thoughts of suicide.
Yet, within those same walls, hope began to take root. Students shared comments like, “It made me feel like I wasn’t alone,” and “I didn’t know others felt that same way.” Through activities like friending up, they were challenged to support one another and normalize honest conversations about mental health.
Remarkably, 89% of participants said they have faith in something bigger than themselves—a reminder that God is already working in these hearts. RemedyLIVE simply showed up as part of that answer.
Each school we serve costs about $2,500 in person or $2,000 virtually. Your gifts enable us to reach entire student bodies, collect life-saving data, and provide follow-up resources like our SparkIT classroom videos.
As the year ends, would you prayerfully consider helping us continue this mission? Together, we’re reminding students everywhere that they are seen, loved, and never alone.
