Supporting the Ones Who Support Us

The Hidden Struggles of Our Everyday Heroes

When you fly, you’re told something simple but profound: put your own oxygen mask on first before helping others. It’s good advice on a plane—but it’s even more important in real life.

At RemedyLIVE, we have the privilege of meeting the people who are expected to keep our communities safe, healthy, educated, and supported: law enforcement, medical teams, educators, recovery professionals, and industry leaders. These are the helpers—those who step into the darkest moments of overdose, suicide, tragedy, and trauma.

But what happens when their oxygen mask isn’t on?

Through our anonymous polling and the Wired Experience we offer across workplaces, we’ve discovered a hard truth: Many of the people we depend on are struggling just as deeply—and sometimes more—than those they serve.

These are individuals who carry the weight of other people’s emergencies every day. And often, they do it silently. Today, right after filming this video, our team is heading out to serve about 40 leaders in the construction industry—a field with one of the highest suicide rates in the nation. We’ll step into that space with the Wired Experience, reminding them of something vital: They deserve care too. They deserve support. They deserve a chance to breathe.

When their oxygen mask is on—when their mental wellness is strengthened—they can better serve the people who depend on them.

As we approach year-end, we’re grateful for those who have already stepped up and supported this mission. Your generosity enables us to show up for the helpers: those who protect us, teach our children, heal our wounds, and build our communities.

When you give to RemedyLIVE, you help us help them—so we can listen to their struggles, equip them with tools for wellness, and love them well in the work they’re called to do.

We chat. We listen. We love.
